This policy explains what information rarest.me ("Rarest", "we") collects when you visit the site or play the game, and how it is used. Last updated: October 1, 2026.
Information we collect
- Game data stored on your device: the game saves your best score, settings and daily progress in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
- Basic usage counts: when you start the game, the page sends an anonymous "play" count for that page. It contains no name, email or account information.
- Server logs: like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect your name, email address or payment details.
Cookies and advertising
We may show ads to keep the game free. Ads may be served by Google AdSense or other advertising partners. These partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads based on your visits to sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings, and learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can also manage cookies in your browser settings.
Analytics
If we add an analytics service to measure traffic, it will collect aggregated information such as pages visited and time on site. We will update this policy to name the service.
Embedded game content
The game is loaded in an embedded frame from our game content service. That service counts how often the game is loaded so we can keep it working, and it does not collect personal information.
Children
Rarest is a general-audience trivia game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You can clear local storage and cookies in your browser, block cookies, or use your browser's privacy features. The game still works without saved data, but your best score will not be remembered.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
